The public association "Eco-Răzeni" is a non-commercial organization based in the village of Răzeni, Ialoveni district, created by a group of young people in December 1998, which aimed to improve the conditions of socio-economic development, especially for young people, vulnerable group that is exposed to the risks of negative social phenomena such as: emigration, poverty, unemployment, limited access to quality education and information, a situation that has persisted in our country for a long time. Since the beginning, the NGO has worked in various fields with the involvement of young people and for young people: facilitating access to information, training in the field of new information and communication technologies, environmental protection and ecological education, promoting the participation of young people in community life.
Eco-Răzeni is recognized as an active actor in the promotion of human rights in the communities of the Ialoveni district, carrying out educational and awareness of human rights by public opinion (public awareness campaigns, publications, seminars, training courses, competitions, non-formal learning activities, small grants program for young people). In this context, our organization has obtained several awards and diplomas over the years: the UN Human Rights Award 2009 and 2015; WebTop 2008 Contest; Award for promoting transparency in the associative sector 2012; Gala RemarkAbility 2015; NGO of the year 2011 and 2014 in Ialoveni district; Honorary Diploma of the National Police Inspectorate 2013 and 2016; UN Women Award for Promoting Equality of Opportunity 2016; The special prize of the EU Delegation for achieving changes 2019; CEB Award for Social Cohesion 2021.
Since April 2010, Eco-Răzeni in partnership with the Ialoveni District Council coordinates the Ialoveni Youth Fund district program (www.fondultinerilor.md). In December 2012, the association founded the first social enterprise for insertion in the field of public food (catering) in the Republic of Moldova - ÎSI Floare de cireş SRL (www.floaredecires.org) within which two social services are active: on-the-job training of people with disabilities and social assistance canteen.
Eco-Răzeni is a member of the Alliance of Organizations for Persons with Disabilities from the Republic of Moldova; National Youth Council of Moldova; Platform for the promotion of social entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova; European Network of Social Insertion Enterprises (ENSIE); National Platform of the Civil Society Forum of the Eastern Partnership; The Economic Council attached to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.
The association employs 10 people (3 men and 7 women), who hold the following positions: executive director (1 person), accountant (1 person), social enterprise manager (1 person), program manager (2 people), assistant manager (2 people), career guidance counselor (1 person) and trainer (2 people). Most employees have higher education in the fields of: public administration, management, business and business administration, economics, social assistance, law. The annual budget of the organization varies between EUR 150 thousand and EUR 250 thousand. The organization has a headquarters with an area of 72 m2, a social aid canteen with an area of 85 m2 and a production section of the social enterprise with an area of 510 m2, located in Răzeni village, Ialoveni district. Eco-Răzeni manages, according to the financial situation of 31.12.2023, tangible assets (fixed funds) and intangible assets in the total value of about 3.2 million lei: office equipment and furniture, cars, kitchen equipment, greenhouse, operating systems , accounting program, etc.
The association has in its portfolio over 60 projects implemented with the support of the US Embassy in Moldova, the Norwegian Embassy in Bucharest, the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), the Soros Foundation Moldova, the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) from the USA, UNDP Moldova, the Office in Moldova of the World Bank, East European Foundation Moldova, IM Swedish Development Partner, International Organization for Migration, LED Foundation Moldova, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, City Hall of Vienna, Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia , the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Moldova, the Ialoveni District Council, etc.
